Topic 1: Lessons from Five Unique Combustible Dust Hazards Analyses - Daniel Engling, Senior Vice President – Safety & Industrial Health Services at KERAMIDA Inc.
The deadline for dust hazards analysis (DHA) for applicable operations has come and gone and many, if not most facilities are yet to comply. This presentation will provide an overview of the NFPA 660 applicability and technical requirements for facilities that produce combustible dust. Lessons learned and unique observations from five different DHAs will be expounded upon. This talk will provide an opportunity for questions and answers with an experienced assessor.
Topic 2: Case Study in Well-Mixed Room Modeling -- Angelie Nieman, Sr. Principal Associate IH at Eli Lilly and Company.
This presentation will discuss a comparison of well-mixed room modeling outputs vs measured exposure during sanitization of manufacturing spaces with bleach. It will discuss setup of a generation rate study and learnings, and explore the differences between measured and modeled exposure.
