Tour of Purdue University's Hazardous Materials Management Facility

Meeting Summary:
The Purdue University West Lafayette campus generates approximately 200,000 pounds of hazardous waste per year, which equates to approximately 25,000 individual chemical containers. Adam and his team pick up, transport, and process all chemical waste to ensure that it is disposed of in a safe and compliant manner. Adam and his team also respond to and assist the Purdue Fire Department with approximately 70 chemical spills per year.
Please join us to hear a presentation from Adam on the waste management system and take a tour of the waste treatment facility at Purdue University.

Presenter:
Adam Krajicek is a 2002 graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science. He currently acts as the Hazardous Materials Manager in the Radiological & Environmental Management department at Purdue University. He is also a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) and serves as the chair of the Tippecanoe County Local Emergency Planning Committee.
